Popular Spalding pub will reopen its outside space next week with new owner
Regulars will be returning to a well-known town centre pub next week which is also under new ownership.
The Red Lion Hotel, in Market Place, Spalding, is now thought to be owned by Jeremy Powell after publican Nigel Wilkins decided to retire after 35 years behind the bar.
The pub will be opening its outside space from 11am on Monday.
A post on the pub's Facebook account states: "We are so excited to share the news that we are set to re-open our outside space in the Market Place from Monday 19th April. We will be open every day (except Tuesday and Saturday) from 11am to 7pm and will be offering a great range of drinks to suit every taste including a fabulous new selection of gins, beers and wines together with coffee and tea.
"We can also now announce that we have a new owner! Long-time owner Nigel Wilkins has decided it’s time to retire after 35 years at the helm and so we can now welcome our new owner, Jeremy Powell, who is looking forward to welcoming customers old and new.
"Obviously we will be adhering to the 'rule of 6' or 2 families, so please help us get started safely and stick to the rules.
"Do come and see us, we’re so looking forward to welcoming everyone back and feel free to share the good news with your friends."
