New M&S food store and petrol station for Market Deeping: Planners defer decision
A decision on plans for a new 24-hour petrol station and M&S food store at Market Deeping has been put on hold - for now.
South Kesteven District Council's Planning Committee deferred the plans when they met on Wednesday (June 26) to gain further information on road safety issues.
It is hoped that 25 new jobs would be created if it gets the go-ahead. Plans have been put forward by Lincoln-based construction company, Lindum, with the site earmarked for agricultural land near the A15/A1175 roundabout at Market Deeping.
The development would be operated by BP Oil UK Ltd and include a small M&S store, selling basic goods such as snacks and drinks, convenience groceries, newspapers and car care items.
It would employ 25 staff in a variety of full and part time contracts. A date has not yet been set for discussion on the deferred plans.
