The cafe has a fresh new look with an increased number of tables – which will be unveiled on Wednesday for a soft opening – following an investment by building owners South Holland District Council.

Olympian and Strictly Come Dancing star Lewis Smith, who has been part of the team working on the cafe, will be officially opening the cafe on Saturday.

Ellie and Sarah have described the cafe’s new look as ‘Scandinavian industrial meets country’ and are pleased with the renovations.

Sarah said: “It is everything we could have asked for and more.”

Ellie added: “I would like to thank the council and builders who have gone above and beyond to get this the way we wanted it.”

Sarah and Ellie, along with their team, have built up a strong and popular business since taking over the cafe three years ago. Under the previous layout, they were limited to five tables but thanks to renovations this has increased to nine.

Importantly, the cafe will now have its own toilets following the building work, which has also reconfigured the kitchen and storage space.

Ellie said: “It will make a big difference to allow us to do more functions. We will be able to do more evening events throughout the year.”

The team are in the process of getting an alcohol licence and have also been given permission to use space on the bowling green in front of the hall.
