St John Ambulance volunteers received a very generous donation of just under £2,000 to buy new equipment that could help save lives locally.

Donated by the local Lions and Spalding Round Table, the money has bought two new oxygen kits and part of a large kit bag for the charity’s volunteers to use at events in Spalding and in the surrounding area.

St John Ambulance regional director, Bruce Leeke, said: “We’d like to thank the Lions and Round Table for this very generous donation. The new equipment will help us deliver an even better service at events.” Our picture shows volunteers receiving their new equipment from Spalding Lions Richard Pacey and Vice President Lion Sally Sneath.
