New deli opens in Market Deeping

A former card shop has been transformed into a deli.

The Market Gate Deli by Grasmere Farm opened earlier this month in Market Gate, Market Deeping.

It offers traditionally made bread, fresh fruit and vegetables, its own cooked meats and frozen homemade pies, artisan cheese, olives and other local produce.

Owner of Grasmere Farm in Deeping St James, Stuart Stables, said: “Situated in the same precinct as our butcher’s shop, Market Gate Deli is a welcome addition to Grasmere. Stocking local produce wherever we can; we have had several local producers approach us.

“This is the true meaning of buying local; we create new jobs, but also support other local producers and their jobs at a time when it is desperately needed.

“In Market Gate we also have the added services from Layton’s Dry Cleaners, The Little Sewing Shop, The Vape Shop, Ooh La La Beauty and Serenity Beauty.”
