Worshippers at St Laurence Church, Surfleet, were delighted by the debut performance of their new junior choir at the Christmas Tree Festival.
The church hasn’t had a choir since the late 90s. Churchwarden Douglas Drakard said: “It was lovely to hear young voices praising God in this church again – it lifts the spirits so much.”
The choir was formed by music teacher Marie Potter and vicar’s wife, Cath Sweeting, in the second half of the summer terms and its members are pupils at local primary schools.
