Spalding bus station's new car parking ticket machine breaks again

A new ticket machine at a public Spalding car park has failed to work for the second time.

We reported at the beginning of this month that the coin machine at the bus station car park (Winfrey Avenue) had been changed to take both card and coin payments.

But within hours of it being installed, it became unresponsive and would not accept payments.

Last Tuesday (November 12), the machine stopped working again and was still out of action today.

It has also been reported that there have been issues recently with the machine at The Vista in Spalding.

A spokesperson for South Holland District Council said: "We are really sorry some residents are having issues with a small number of ticket machines. We are aware that in some cases machines are unable to take contactless payments and that there are software issues with some machines.
