Put on your ’40s dress or uniform and get down to Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens in Spalding this weekend (10.30am to 4pm).
The entire site will be transformed with a 1940s theme for a fantastic new free weekend event.
There will be vintage vehicles, memorabilia displays, an artillery display and demonstrations on both days.
Museum and cafe staff will be getting involved too, dressing in clothes from the era, and a singer will perform ’40s songs on Saturday.
The 1940s weekend forms the lead-up to the annual VJ Day Parade on the Sunday, when Spalding Remembrance Association leads tributes to those who lost their lives in the Second World War.
The service begins in the Peace Garden at 2.30pm.
