The new year saw the start of a new Knit and Knatter group in Spalding, meeting fortnightly at the town’s St Barnabas Hospice.
With similar groups in Market Deeping and surrounding areas, it was decided that a new group would start this year in Spalding.
The group, which is held on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, meets at the hospice on Clover Way, Woolram Wygate, between 10am and noon.
Knit and Knatter currently offers its members a chance to swap patterns and share tips, as well as having a chat about their shared interest in knitting and other subjects for two hours.
With a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, anyone is welcome to drop by and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a slice of home-made cake.
Some members of the group are currently hard at work knitting Easter chicks which they plan to sell at the annual spring fair ran by St Barnabus Hospice. The fair is due to take place at the hospice in Clover Way on Saturday, March 29 between 2pm and 4pm.
With free admission to the fair, everyone has a chance to have a look round the varied stalls and stands in order to help raise money for the charity.
Meanwhile, the Knit and Knatter group’s next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 25 when new members are welcome.
