Spalding and The Deepings MP Sir John Hayes writes to Prime Minister Boris Johnson calling for overhaul of asylum system
MP for South Holland and The Deepings John Hayes is among a group which is calling for an overhaul of the country’s asylum system.
Sir John is among a group of 43 MPs and seven Peers who have signed a
letter addressed to Prime Minister Boris Johnson asking him for a ‘root and branch’ reform of the asylum system.
The letter, which has been sent by the Common Sense Group, states that ‘the United Kingdom’s asylum system is not fit for purpose’ and asks the Prime Minister to introduce a comprehensive reform of the system following Parliament’s return from summer recess.
