Community Speed Watch plan for Spalding appears to be losing ground
Hopes that a Community Speed Watch scheme could be set up in Spalding appear to be stalling.
During Wednesday’s meeting, forum chairman Coun Jack McLean admitted that the number of volunteers interested in the scheme “wasn’t great”.
Coun McLean also suggested that responsibility for the scheme could be handed over to another body by the forum.
“The take-up of our appeal for volunteers wasn’t great and there have also been conversations about looking at an alternative way of delivering the scheme,” Coun McLean said.
“But if the forum can be part of Community Speed Watch in Spalding, then it will be because as far as I am aware, there are no forum members who don’t want to see the scheme in Spalding.”
