MOULTONS PARISH COUNCIL: Speed surveys done in Moulton and Moulton Chapel
Moultons Parish Council is considering the next step after two traffic surveys in Moulton and Moulton Chapel respectively.
Complaints about speeding on the A151 led to a speed survey at its junction with Bell Lane, Moulton, the results of which are not yet available.
However, the results of a speed survey in Fen Gate, Moulton Chapel were read out during a parish council meeting in the village on Tuesday.
It showed that over a two-week period, 85 per cent of drivers were travelling at speeds of 40.9mph or below within a 30mph zone.
Parish councillors are also considering a request for a pedestrian crossing on Broad Lane, Moulton, for children and parents going to and from John Harrox Primary School.
•Police are to be invited to the annual parish meeting in Moulton Seas End on March 26 after unhappiness about the lack of information on crime in the area.
Figures for January, the most recent available, showed three cases of anti-social behaviour, three thefts and two burglaries in the area.
