MOULTONS PARISH COUNCIL: Community clean-up to be repeated in summer

The success of a day cleaning up Moulton, Moulton Seas End and Moulton Chapel is to be repeated in the summer.

Moultons Parish Council is to invite volunteers to brighten up all three villages in late August, with a date to be confirmed after May’s parish and district council elections.

More than 40 bags of rubbish and a broken bike were collected during a litter pick around the three villages on February 23.

The decision to go ahead with a summer litter pick was made during a parish council meeting in Moulton Chapel on Tuesday when Coun Andrew Woolf, parish council chairman, said “If we want to have pride in our villages, we need to get out there and have a clean-up of the parish.

“The idea to do a clean-up at six-month intervals may, I think, see more people from the three villages coming out and volunteering in the summer when the days are lighter for longer.”
