Saturday saw dozens flock to the final round of Moulton Seas End’s Got Talent.
The contest aimed to raise money so that upgrades and improvements could be undertaken on the village hall, the setting of the competition.
Organised by local councillor Steve Walker, the audience watched as five young contestants and six adults showed off their various skills, including singing, dancing, playing the flute and performing dramatic readings.
While all of the junior entrants did extremely well, each of whom was awarded with a certificate and packet of sweets, singer Cerys Harvey stormed the adult category.
Whilst Cerys’ talents were rewarded with a £10 cash prize, first and second runners up were given a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates.
Committee member for Moulton Seas End Village Hall, Loretta Ferguson, said: “The event was well received and we were very pleased with the turn out.”
The talent competition was just one in a series of events at the village hall- a family fun night is being held on July 19th with a disco, karaoke and face-painting.
