Residents are being asked to pick a quieter time to visit Spalding's tip after yet more issues with queues at the facility.

The Covid booking system at the household waste recycling centre was ditched last week - and the facility then experienced issues with heavy traffic and a fire last Friday.

Today has seen more problems around the tip, with heavy traffic on the A16 and West Marsh Road as a result of the volume of people trying to use the facility.

A Lincolnshire County Council spokesman said: "We experience longer queues than usual this morning at our household waste recycling centre in Spalding, affecting the highway.

"If you can, please consider visiting at a quieter time, or coming back on another day. Thank you."
