Busy first weekend for South Holland Police as pubs in Spalding, Holbeach and Long Sutton areas

South Holland police say they had a busy weekend after restrictions were eased over the weekend.

More officers were on duty in the district as revellers were allowed to enjoy their first taste of freedom as pub beer gardens opened.

Insp Nick Waters said: "We had extra officers on duty in response to the easing of restrictions over the last week and whilst it has been a very busy period, there were no calls to disorder at pubs.

"Most licensed premises across the district were visited by officers and we would like to thank everyone for adapting to the conditions.

"We will continue to maintain contact through the further anticipated stages of unlock."

Staff in The Punch Bowl, in Spalding, had suffered abuse.
