Have your say

A former Spalding girl who once felt like “an ugly duckling” is making it big in Thailand as a model.

Kelly Louise Woodcock (20), who attended Sir John Gleed School and still has family and friends in the town, says there was a lot of competition when she first went to Thailand to start a new life with her boyfriend.

She said: “You have to stand out and at 6ft tall I stand out. It’s been my dream to be a model since I was 10. I always felt like an ugly duckling but then I got stopped by a modelling scout in New York when I was 15 because I had an usual look and it was just the confidence boost I needed.

”Now my dream is to see my face on a billboard by the end of the year.”
