Spalding Academy students undergo mock job interviews

Business students at Spalding Academy got a taste of their futures on Friday when they underwent mock job interviews.

The Year 11 BTEC students were interviewed by Spalding Guardian editor Jeremy Ransome and Calthrops Solicitors' Craig Delaney for an 'administration' job at the Academy.

The mock interviews formed part of their BTEC exam.

Craig said: "We take training and education very seriously at Calthrops, whether it is the development of our own staff but also our unique work experience training programme we have developed.

"It is imperative that as experienced professionals we do everything we can to support and give something back to the community that has supported us for generations."

Jeremy added: "This was the second year Craig and I have helped out and we were both impressed with the students.

"They were all so bright and enthusiastic and very proud of their school. So many of them already have career paths planned out."
