Described as a ‘cosy and inviting shop’, Daisies of Spalding has been celebrating 25 years in business.

Emma Peake, of Spalding, is the creative force and the owner behind the shop, which opened in October 1991. Emma celebrated this milestone with “a bit of a do”.

Around 100 customers were invited for “bubbles and nibbles” from 11am to 5pm to help make it a day to remember on Saturday.

Emma said: “I have lots of regular customers who are all super, so it was nice to have them celebrate with me.

“It doesn’t feel like 25 years, it’s been truly wonderful and I’ve met some remarkable friends along the way.”

Emma certainly felt “very touched” on Saturday when she received around 80 cards from guests that held comments such as, “Providing Spalding with fragrance, beauty and artistry” and “Best and most stylistic shop in Lincolnshire”.

Daisies, located on The Crescent, is a tempting shop that sells a collection of flowers, interior accessories and other quirky items.

Emma was working as a florist at the time the premises became available, so she decided to start up her own business there. Since then she has never looked back and Daisies has become a very successful company.

She said: “It took hard work and dedication to start up my own company and keep it running and I plan to keep on with the business.”

The shop also provides floral designs for all types of events and occasions, such as weddings and special birthdays.

Emma is preparing her Christmas Event for all the Christmas shoppers looking for the perfect gift among the aromatic candles, greeting cards and many vintage finds.
