Spalding air cadets appeal for memories

A cadet force is appealing for help as it celebrates a milestone anniversary.

Members of 1406 Spalding Squadron Air Training Corps are marking the unit’s 80th anniversary this year.

Staff at the squadron have a knowledge of the last 20 years and they are eager to learn more about the unit’s history.

Commanding officer Flying Officer Andy Oxby is appealing for ex-cadets or anyone with a connection to the unit to get in touch to share their memories and pictures.

He said; “We are very interested in what the Squadron has done in the past and would enjoy building a richer history of our involvement in the local community.

“We are also looking for new people to join our Civilian Committee, if you share similar passions to us we would appreciate having you on board as we get back on our feet.”

If you were involved in the Air Training Corps at some point or are interested in the Civilian Committee, please contact the unit by emailing adj.1406@rafac.mod.gov.uk or on the Facebook Page @1406ATC
