If all the youngsters at Whaplode Church of England Primary School are running around enjoying half-term it’s thanks to the special care they received on the last day in the classroom.

Staff and pupils took part in a Medics’ Day, with children from Reception to Year 6 dressing as doctors, nurses, vets, paramedics and even a doctor’s receptionist. Others came as patients with a wide range of injuries.

Head teacher Alison Flack said: “We’ve had a brilliant time learning about the important job that all medical professionals do.”
