HAVING raised over £59,000 Lincolnshire’s Freemasons have been nominating good causes and charities to benefit from their benevolent fund.

Nominations from over 59 lodges throughout Lincolnshire were sent to the Provincial Lodge in Grimsby with many charities throughout the county benefiting.

Spalding’s Welland Lodge’s successful charities were Macmillan Cancer Support and Action Medical Research both receiving cheques for £500.

The cheque for Macmillan Cancer Support was received by chairman of the Spalding and Holbeach Committee, Denise Vickers who said “I’m delighted to accept this cheque and would like to thank all involved in raising the money”.
