MAN'S BEST FRIEND: Beautiful Barney needs an active home
Barney is a seven-year-old husky cross looking for his forever home.
He is a very active chap who likes nothing more than long on-lead countryside walks, or maybe even a running partner.
If you can find somewhere quiet and away from other dogs, he’d love to do canicross (cross country running with dogs) too.
He finds travelling in a car quite stressful so ideally his new home will be close to peaceful areas he can explore with his new owner.
Barney could potentially live with children over the age of 14. And if they love playing football too, they’ll become best friends!
If he sounds like the perfect dog for you, please give the team at our South Lincs centre a call on 01205260546.
Can you help our dogs?
Dogs loves to chew to help combat boredom and relieve some mild anxiety or frustration.
This can be a healthy form of entertainment, enrichment and distraction as long as the chewing is limited to appropriate objects.
Much like us humans, squeezing a stress relieving ball while sitting in traffic! In addition, chewing can be just plain fun, and yummy, especially when a chew treat is involved.
At the centre, we love to give the dogs long lasting chews to help them feel more relaxed while in our care – they are also a vital role in some of the training programmes we have in place for some of our current residents.
We would love if anyone has any spare funds to help get us some tasty chews for our dogs. We are able to accept donations left at our gate, with social distancing guild lines in place.
We would be extremely grateful for any chews but especially:
- Large and XL Kongs
- Raw hides
- Bully Sticks
- Antlers, Horns or Hoofs
- Dental Chews
- Yak Chews
- Dehydrated skins
- Cow, pigs or rabbit ears
