Man killed in road crash named

UPDATE Tuesday 4.30pm: The elderly man who died in Sunday’s crash has just been named by police.

He was Frederick Stone.

Police say Mr Stone’s wife remains critical but stable in Pilgrim Hospital.

UPDATE 8.50am: The person who died in Sunday’s crash at Swineshead was an 81-year-old man from Pode Hole.

His 77-year-old wife is critical in Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital with multiple fractures.

The elderly couple were in a Kia Picanto. The driver of the Mitsubishi pick-up, a woman from the Horncastle area, went to Pilgrim for a check-up but police say she was not detained.

Monday 8.15am: ONE person died and others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on the A52 Boston Road at Swineshead at 4.30pm yesterday (Sunday).

Police have not yet released further details as relatives are still being informed.

It is not yet clear how many people were hurt.

Vehicles involved were a Mitsubishi L200 pick-up and a Kia Picanto.
