Dealer found in Spalding with £3,000 worth of drugs
A drug dealer found with more than £3,000 worth of controlled substances is facing a jail term.
Paulo Tiago Marques-Pintor was also in possession of £1,890 in cash when he was searched in Spalding on July 23, 2018.
The 21-year-old, of Pennygate, appeared before Boston Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to four counts of possessing a controlled drug with intent to supply – two of which were class A.
The charges relate to cocaine (approximate value £2,000), MDMA (£500), cannabis (£290) and amphetamine (£90).
He also admitted a charge of possessing criminal property (the quantity of cash).
Prosecutor Nick Todd told the court that they were serious offences involving two class A drugs and invited the magistrates to pass sentencing to the crown court as their powers of punishment were insufficient.
The bench agreed and granted Marques-Pintor unconditional bail to the hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on a date to be fixed.
A pre-sentence report was requested.
