A16 remains closed after man dies in accident
The A16 remains closed between Crowland and Newborough after a four vehicle accident this morning (Friday, February 7) in which a male motorcyclist has died.
Another motorist has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs.
Cambridgeshire Police say the collision involved a Honda motorcycle, a Peugeot Boxer, a Vauxhall Insignia and a Fiat Punto. It happened on the A16 at Newborough and was reported to police at 5.58am today.
A statement from Cambridgeshire Police reads: "Emergency services attended and the rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the best efforts of paramedics.
"Another driver was taken to Peterborough City Hospital with minor injuries.
"A third driver has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs."
Police say the road will remain closed to allow an investigation to take place.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it, or who has dashcam footage, is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 65 of February 7.

The AA is reporting that there is still heavy traffic in the area due to the accident, both ways between Peterborough Road South and B1443 Thorney Road.
