Lincolnshire Police issue fine to man in Boston who breached quarantine rules by visiting friends in Spalding




Lincolnshire Police issued a fine to a man who breached coronavirus quarantine rules by visiting friends in Spalding.

The force issued the fine to a 39-year-old man in Boston who arrived from Bulgaria on July 13 and police say he was aware of the self-isolation rules.

A statement from the force says: "Officers attended the address to conduct an NPCC check on behalf of Border Force and he was not present. He was spoken to on the phone and stated he was shopping at Asda.

"This was found to be a lie and he was in fact in Spalding with friends. At ticket was issued for showing a total disregard for the quarantine rules.”
