Two police officers attacked and two arrests at house in Spalding




A man has been sent back to jail after attacking two police officers at a house in Spalding.

Police were called to a property in Alexandra Road, Spalding, where they were set upon by a 24-year-old man on Thursday afternoon,

The man was later arrested for assaulting emergency workers and theft.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old woman who was arrested at the same address for possession of cannabis appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Friday.

Inspector Gareth Boxall, neighbourhood policing inspector for South Holland, said: "Two police officers from South Holland attended an address in Alexandra Road, Spalding, where they were assaulted, resulting in minor injuries which did not require ongoing medical treatment.

"As a result, we arrested a 24-year-old man who remained in our custody until he was returned to prison as he was in breach of his release licence.

"We also arrested a 23-year-old woman for possession of cannabis and, on the direction of a warrant issued by Boston Magistrates Court for theft, she was held in custody until an appearance at Lincoln Magistrates Court on March 8."
