Residents are being asked to confirm their details during the council’s annual voter registration canvass so that anyone not registered to vote can be identified.

It is a legal requirement for all household enquiry forms to be returned and the council will send reminders before making personal visits to households that do not respond.

However, the simplest way to check your voter registration is to do so online, with the necessary details included on the form which can also be returned by post.

There are also mobile phone and text options that can be used if there are no changes in a household’s details.
