South Holland singletons could find love at Flamingles speed dating event in Moulton Chapel
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, singletons in South Holland could find love at a speed dating event next month.
Organisers Kellie-Marie Bryan and Laura Johnson have put together the Flamingles event to offer single people an alternative to online dating.
Flamingles (Single Pringle and Flamingo) is aimed to help people met face-to-face on Thursday, February 13, to test out if there is any chemistry rather than just judging on looks alone.

Kellie-Marie said: "If you are single it can be really hard to meet people other than relying on app. They don't give you the opportunity to get to know their personality and a lot of people want to meet more organically.
"If you want to meet someone in a different way and don't want to use the internet, then this is another way of bringing people together.
"This is a way of talking to people face to face rather than on social media.
"This event will allow you to see that person, learn what their mannerisms are like so you can get a feel for that person.
"Dating apps are based on appearance rather thanif you get on with them."
The initial event, which will be held at The Jolly Farmer, in Roman Road, Moulton Chapel, is open to all age ranges.
If this event is successful, they are hoping to branch out into holding other events in different areas.
Kellie-Marie said: "We are keen to focus on creating a fun experience. I have had friends who have been speed dating and said it was very serious."
People taking part in the event will be given a drink and Flamingles survival pack, which will give hints on how to start a conversation if you are struggling, on arrival.
Kellie-Marie said: "We are going to start with a team building activity which will get people up and moving and help to get to know each other.
"I come from a personal training background and I know people can struggle with confidence. Our aim is to make people feel comfortable."
Throughout the evening there will be sessions in which speed-daters will have the opportunity to stop and chat.
The organisers are also looking at an evaluation system, which will allow daters to state privately who they would like to see again.
The event will be running from 7pm to 10pm.
Tickets cost £20, which includes arrival drink and survival pack, are available from the Flamingles facebook page.
There will be a discounted rate for future events for those who attend the first event in Moulton Chapel.
