Lincolnshire Young Chef of the Year competition
A charity and a hotel have got together to run a cooking competition for under-25s where the winning chef will get a three year apprenticeship.
But hurry, entries for the contest close on Friday, May 24.
The Freshtime Futures Trust is a charitable organisation with the sole purpose of supporting personal growth for young people in Lincolnshire from the ages of 11 to 25.
It is collaborating with Boston West hotel to run the Lincolnshire Young Chef of the Year competition, open to all 16- to 25-year-olds.
The winner will get a three-year apprenticeship with Boston West, with Freshtime Futures Trust paying for all training fees.
Entrants must submit a three-course menu and there will then be a short-listing process with four chefs invited to a cook-off and six receiving a certificate of merit and a day at Freshtime to experience an industrial kitchen.
The final will be at Boston West on June 17 with finalists having a £40 budget to create their dishes for the judges.
