A dozen pupils from the Peele School in Long Sutton played in a 24-hour sponsored pool competition in 1990.

The competition was the idea of Mark Farrell and pupils were hoping to raise at least £350, £100 of which was to be kept for school funds and the remainder given to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
