Long Sutton Cricket Club raised nearly £3,000 at their charity cricket match day thanks to the help of the members, friends and family.
Seven teams played in six-a-side matches and the winners were a team from Long Sutton Cricket Club who beat players from Long Sutton’s Peele Community College.
The day also saw Callum John, of Long Sutton, braving the shave and raising around £600 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
James Baker, from the cricket club, said Callum had been sponsored for the head shave but raised a little more on the day. He sold raffle tickets to see who would shave his head during the evening.
“The Returns played during the evening when we had more people come along and enjoy our club. We had lots of support from friends and family to make it a fantastic day.
“We would like to thank Will Guy Electrical and P&R Plant Hire for allowing us to raise nearly £3,000 and also give a mention to Scissors Hair Designs of Long Sutton for their donation towards the raffle.”
