Lions from both the Spalding and East Elloe clubs brought a ray of sunshine into the lives of shoppers recently.
They spent a day at Tesco in Holbeach collecting for the Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal – an annual event that raises funds for the nurses that provide high-quality care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.
This is the second year that local Lions clubs have been asked to assist in the appeal. Lions clubs nationally became the first official collecting partner in 2013.
East Elloe Lions president Robin Mills (pictured with member Tony Portass) said the day went very well and thanked the generosity of the Tesco store customers.
