LEARN MORELong Sutton Library is set to reopen next month after repair works are completed.
Work to repair the building’s roof has been ongoing since December, with a click and collect service operating in the meantime.
This service will end at 1pm on Saturday, May 7. The library will then be closed for two weeks whilst associated internal works are completed, all scaffolding at the site is safely removed and staff return library furniture and stock ready for the reopening.
On Monday, May 23, the library will open its doors to the public again.
Lincolnshire county councillor Lindsey Cawrey, executive member for libraries, said: "We’re looking forward to welcoming members and visitors back to Long Sutton Library; thank you for bearing us with whilst we carried out these repairs."
In advance of the two-week closure, customers will be able to borrow more items than the usual 30 allowed. Return dates for items will be amended so that they are not due for return during the two-week closure.
You can email longsutton.library@gll.org if you have any queries or concerns over the returning of items.
