EURO ELECTIONS: Pleas from the Brexit Party
Please vote for the Brexit Party
About seven years ago I again became involved with national politics, after many years of trying hard to ignore the machinations of Westminster. My sole purpose at the time was to help secure and win a referendum to enable us to leave the EU. Experience of life here and within Europe convinced me this was essential for the future of our country.
Along the way I’ve been able to do some things outside the national arena to directly help the community of the town where I live, Holbeach. Much more rewarding than party politics.
Many of our residents voted for me in the recent local elections, and I thank them sincerely. Since I did not get re-elected to the district council, this frees me to re-engage with party politics, at least outside the level of the parish council, where I remain strictly independent.
Those who know my history will not be surprised to learn that for the time being at least, I will be supporting the Brexit Party. I am shocked and disgusted at the way Government and Parliament have ignored the result of that hard won democratic referendum and tried to reverse it. It’s a very dangerous and damaging precedent. The political classes simply can’t be allowed to get away with this. Indeed it’s just as important as a genuine Brexit.
Please may I ask you to turn out and vote once more, in the EU elections on Thursday. It is our only chance to escape from the thoroughly unpleasant EU. But just as important, the very future of UK democracy is now threatened. We’ve sent several messages to Westminster recently but obviously we have not shouted loud enough. The old parties continue to go their own unsweet way and it’s far time we dumped them all and started again. Please vote for The Brexit Party. Annunziata Rees-Mogg, from Skegness, is the lead candidate in our area, the East Midlands. Help her and her colleagues change British politics for good.
Together we can save democracy
My call to the people of South Holland and The Deepings is simple.
If you voted to ‘Take Back Control’ and Leave the EU at the 2016 referendum and are fed up with being told that you didn’t know what you were voting for – vote for the Brexit Party today (Thursday).
If you believe in democracy and like the 70 per cent of remain voters believe that the referendum result should be honoured – vote for the Brexit Party.
If you believe that Britain should be an independent, self-governing nation that is in control of its own destiny – vote for the Brexit Party.
If you believe the sacrifice of our brave men and women in fighting to defend our freedom and liberty in two world wars should not be in vain – vote for the Brexit Party.
If you accept what Labour’s European Candidate Lord Adonis said “if you Voted Leave you should not Vote for the Labour Party” – vote for the Brexit Party.
If you are a Conservative Leaver and want to let Theresa May know what you think of her handling of the Brexit negotiations – she took personal control of them after she forced David Davis MP to resign and scrapped his Super Canada Free Trade Deal which the EU accepted in March 2018 – vote for the Brexit Party.
I have been campaigning to take Great Britain out of the undemocratic, corrupt and failing EU for the last 25 years. As many of you know I am the Vote Leave Constituency coordinator for our area. I believe in Britain and will always put the national interest first, and I know that together we will make a great success of Brexit as we take back control of our laws, borders, and economy.
That is why, with over 100,000 other people, I have joined the Brexit Party and will be voting for their candidates at the European Parliament Electionstoday. If you believe in demo cracy, I hope you will do the same and remind our MPs and Parliament what happens when they stop listening. Our votes do count and your contempt for the electorate will be punished at the ballot box!

Saturday morning was well worthwhile
I spent Saturday morning in the Market Place helping out at the Brexit Party stall. I was very pleasantly surprised by the courteous behaviour of the vast majority of people to whom I offered a campaign flysheet. Most who did not want one declining with a ‘No thank you’ and a smile.
I had many conversations with people and learnt many things about the lives and problems of people in Spalding.
I have been involved before in distributing literature. It is a pretty thankless task in all honesty, but Saturday morning in Spalding made it well worthwhile.
