LETTER: Spalding gets everything and villages get nothing

Have your say

NOW John Hayes is one of Cameron’s main men.

NOW John Hayes is one of Cameron’s main men.

He hears what his constituents have to say about the closures of the Crowland School, Halmer Grange care home, Holbeach sorting office and possibly Holbeach police office.

Then, like Cameron, does a U-turn.

After Springfields shopping outlet was built shops in the town started to close but then it was decided to build the Red Lion Quarter, which looks as it could be a white elephant according to the news.

Spalding had three cinemas several years ago (Regent, Savoy and Odeon).

Now someone wants one again and of course the bus park is cited as one place for it so buses will put passengers in inconvenient places to do their shopping.

Spalding has spread its wings lately – Springfields and the skate park are Spalding now, not Fulney, and Spalding has claimed Surfleet golf course.

So look out Fun Farm and Baytree Nurseries, you could be next as Spalding gets everything and outside villages get nothing.
