Who will be the winners of the School Choir Competition 2016?

Although we’re keeping our fingers crossed for at least few weeks of sunshine to come, early preparations for the festive season are already beginning at Tulip Radio.

It’s time to ask all the schools in the area if they’d like to take part in this year’s School Choir Competition, taking place on

Friday, December 2 at St John the Baptist Church, Spalding.

There will be some amazing prizes on offer, once again donated from local business. Majestic Bingo and EMG have joined us and will be giving £50 to the first ten schools to enter their choir. An iPad will be given to the winning school and many more prizes are still to be announced.

Last year proved to be a huge success with a 400-strong audience and over 250 pupils singing festive favourites. In a close competition, Ayscoughfee Hall School took the top prize. In addition to a packed lunch, this year we are asking pupils to bring a small wrapped gift to the value of £3 suitable for either a girl or boy, to be distributed by Father Christmas, who will be making an appearance.

The deadline to enter the School Choir Competition is Tuesday, November 1.
