A weekly column from the hub for music, film and theatre in Spalding.
The autumn live guides arrived on doormats last weekend and anyone visiting the South Holland Centre website to book tickets for journalist Jonathan Dimbleby, wildlife presenter Nick Baker or the pantomime Peter Pan may have been in for a surprise.
The website looks different. It’s had a bit of a redesign. Not only did we want to make the site more user-friendly, but also to bring it bang up to date for the 63 per cent of our visitors who access the site through mobile devices. So we are very pleased to announce that the South Holland Centre website is now fully ‘mobile friendly’ – no more need to have the magnifying glasses at the ready!
The new site, still accessed via southhollandcentre.co.uk, also incorporates some extra features that customers have told us would be useful, especially when searching What’s On. So now every event appears in one full calendar list, which if desired, can be refined to suit individual tastes and needs like Satellite Broadcasts or Live Shows, or filtered down to show what’s on during a particular month or on a specific day. In addition, all of the information pages have been refreshed and users can Discover More about the life of the centre, such as arts projects, job vacancies and how to join our brilliant band of local volunteers who steward all of the live events and shows.
We are always open to suggestions and welcome comments for further improvements or indeed appreciation of particular features that have gone down well. So with no time to lose, we’re hot on the heels of the website launch with the release of the autumn season which we’ll be talking about in more detail next week. All the events are already on sale on our website so why not start exploring… and planning your next trip?
