A women’s social group has given a helping hand to five charities with a donation of £100 each.
British Heart Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society, Moulton Community Centre, Macmillan Cancer Support and Moulton’s cubs, scouts, brownies and guides each received the money.
A total of £895 raised by two tea dances organised by Moulton Ladies was also handed to Marie Curie and a further £200 given to the St Barnabas Hospice in memory of former member Jean Morris who died last year.
Pam Stanley, of the Moulton Ladies, said: “We were absolutely thrilled to be able to hand over so much money to such worthy causes.”
Moulton Ladies meets at Moulton Community Centre on the third Wednesday of the month and new members are welcome.
