An Indian restaurant in Sutton Bridge is in new hands and staff are vowing to give customers a memorable experience of spicy cooking.
Rajapur Indian Restaurant in Bridge Road opened its doors two weeks ago under the ownership of business partners Ibrahim Khan and Aktur Jaman.
But the pair believe its combination of classic and modern Indian dishes, backed by the restaurant’s pair of chefs who together have almost 30 years’ experience in the catering industry, will make Rajapur’s eat in and takeaway meals popular with customers.
Mr Khan said: “We took over the restaurant because both myself and Aktur thought it would be a very good place to start a business.
“There aren’t that many Indian restaurants in the area and 99 per cent of our customers have been happy with both our food and our service.
“In fact, the only complaints we’ve had are from people trying to ring us to order a meal who’ve had trouble getting through on the phone.”
Altogether, there are seven people working at the restaurant where the most popular meals have so far been chicken korma, lamb rogan josh and special fried rice.
“People have said the restaurant is very nicely decorated and we’re looking forward to taking more bookings from families and for private parties as well,” Mr Khan said.
“I have confidence that we can give people in this area good food and good service.”
