A 21-year-old Holbeach woman 'deliberately' drove just five months after being disqualified, a court has been told.

Charlotte Watson, of Spalding Road, admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance when she appeared at Boston Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Lee Shepherd, prosecuting, told the magistrates she was stopped by police at midnight on June 19 while driving her Series 1 BMW on the A1101 at Main Road, Tydd Gote.

He said she had been banned from driving for a year on January 28 and admitted to police she knew she was banned, so it had been a 'deliberate act'.

He added that two days after being stopped, she had been further banned for six months under the totting up procedure.

Watson was banned for three years until July 2024 and fined a total of £580 and ordered to pay a total of £119 in court costs and charges
