Top marks for Kirton Primary School




Kirton Primary are celebrating having been named the best performing, state-funded primary school in the county for the fourth year running.

It came out top of schools in Lincolnshire in The Real Schools Guide 2019. The guide takes into account 44 different data points - including not just KS2 results, but factors such as progress, pupil-teacher ratios and absence rates.

Head teacher Nicky Donley said: "This is actually the fourth year running (2016, 2017, 2018 and now 2019).

"The staff and governors are obviously thrilled.

"It really is a tremendous achievement to be identified as the best performing, state-funded primary school in the county, particularly as there are over 300 primary schools in Lincolnshire.

"However, to be recognised as such for the fourth year running leaves us speechless."

Bourne Elsea Park Church of England Primary Academy came second in the guide.
