Kirton hairdresser Jayne Rush (right) has helped her granddaughter Niamh Rush (nine) to raise more than £1,000 so far for children’s cancer charity, Little Princess Trust.

Niamh’s hair was cut by her grandmother at Jayne Rush Hair and Beauty in Station Road to be used as wigs for children in the UK and Ireland who have lost their own hair to illness.

I was excited and nervous having my hair chopped but also very proud of how I am going to make other children happier
