Council postpones discussion on Spalding Western Relief Road

The county council has called off discussion on Spalding Western Relief Road, which was due to take place at a committee meeting on Monday.

Coun Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: "We've decided to postpone bringing the Spalding Western Relief Road to our Highways and Transport Scrutiny Committee until the feasibility study for the road's middle sections is complete this summer.

"By that time, we'll also know the outcome of our planning apps (applications) for the north and south sections, meaning the committee will have a much fuller picture of the project ahead of formally discussing it."
