Help Do It For the Dogs!
Meet Dylan, a ten-year-old Springer Spaniel who is the latest pooch to be given a new life, thanks to the volunteers at Jerry Green’s South Lincolnshire Centre.
He was adopted by Craig Pettit, from Holbeach St Marks.
“Dylan is such a wonder to have, he has really settled in with his new brother Ravioli,” Craig said.
“They happily play together. Although he is an older boy he definitely doesn’t act like it, he would happily chase a ball all day long!”
Dylan came into the centre at Algarkirk as a stray and it wasn’t long before he found his forever home.
“I can’t thank Jerry Green enough for matching us with such an amazing new family member,” Craig added.
“The staff made the adoption very easy and helped with any questions we had through, during and after adoption.”
We are currently running our Do It For the Dogs Appeal to help the centre raise £200,000 to build new kennels for its lovely dogs.
With the help of our readers getting involved in fundraising, our aim is to raise £4,000 for the first kennel for the centre’s new block.
There are lots of ways you can help us do this.
One idea could be to do a sponsored walk, or run - or how about a cake or bake sale or a ‘dress down day’ at your place of work.
I will be walking up Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales next month to help raise money for the appeal.
I have a Just Giving page which you can find at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/zoe-myall
Help me reach the top of that mountain by pledging whatever you can manage. It’s all for the dogs!
Volunteers do a fantastic job at the centre but the kennels used to house the dogs have become tired and echoey over time and are in desperate need of an overhaul.
