GENEROUS readers have been digging deep to help give families in South Holland the Christmas they deserve – and there’s still time for you to help too.
Our sister paper the Spalding Guardian has joined up with Spalding’s Agape Care Foodbank for a Christmas appeal and Lincolnshire Free Press readers have been lending a hand too.
The foodbank has put together a shopping list for all the ingredients they need for special Christmas hampers for deserving families and individuals.
The list includes cranberry sauce, bread sauce, stuffing, gravy granules, Christmas cake, savoury snacks, Pringles, Christmas pudding, crackers, selection boxes and chocolate mints.
Items should be taken to one of four drop-off points before December 16 – at our offices in The Crescent, Spalding, the Lighthouse Church in Haverfield Road, Spalding, Sainsbury’s in Holland Market, Spalding, and Market House in Long Sutton.
Keep checking the Spalding Guardian every Thursday for updates on the appeal.
