PART of the Coronation Channel bank was sealed off on Sunday after a man jumped into the water.
Emergency services were called to aid the 29-year-old from Spalding after they received reports about “concerns for his welfare” at about 3.30pm.
The incident was in the Matmore Gate/ Thornton Road area of the channel.
The man was not in the water when officers arrived but he jumped in a while later.
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue’s rescue boat was on standby to give assistance.
The man is believed to have climbed out of the water just after 5pm, and he was taken to Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital for treatment.
