Spalding, Holbeach, Donington, Crowland and Long Sutton area residents are invited to take part in a recycling project

Residents are being urged to get involved in a recycling project.

The Lincolnshire Waste Partnership, made up of district councils and the county council, is asking for residents to step forward to be part of a new residents’ recycling panel.

Rachel Stamp, programme manager, said: “One of the major issues we are trying to tackle is how to reduce contamination rates in the recycling.

“These have been slowly rising over the last few months, particularly through the pandemic and we’re at a stage now where we need to make a change.

“We need to get better at helping our residents get recycling right. By getting residents involved, we can create the right materials in the right styles.”
