Join in torch mosaic workshops

Have your say

PEOPLE living in south Lincolnshire have the chance to help make a lasting commemoration of the Olympic torch’s journey through the district.

Mosaic artist Fiona Gurney is inviting members of the public to join in a series of free workshops to create five special mosaics that will act as permanent reminders of this summer’s major sporting event.

Workshops are being held in Ayscoughfee Hall Museum in Spalding on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (10.30am to 3pm); at South Holland Centre on Saturday (10am to 12noon and 1pm to 3pm); in Spalding Market Place next Tuesday (22) (10am to 3pm); Whaplode Heraldic Suite at Whaplode Church on May 28 and 30 (10am to 3pm); Moulton Community Centre on June 14, 15 and 16 (10am to 3pm); Long Sutton Market House on June 20, 22 and 23 (10am to 3pm); and Ayscoughfee Hall Museum on June 27, 28 and 29 (10am to 3pm).

People are invited to drop in at any of the dates and times shown, but those who would like to take a group are asked to contact the Arts Development Officer on 01775 761161 or email to book a time.
